Description
The Gotoh bass bridge offers an increased sustain and improved tone for crisper, purer sound. This bridge will make a huge difference in my bass’s sound when compared to original stamped steel plate style bridge. The added mass of the bridge goes a long way to increase your bass’s sustain, tone, and attack.

Swapped it onto my Squire 40th anniversary jazz bass. The Gotoh screws are a little smaller than the stock ones, but to reuse the stock ones you’d have to ream the holes in the bridge out slightly. I used the Gotoh screws and they worked regardless, and so far the bridge is on there solid. I also swapped the stock bridge’s saddles onto the Gotoh one, which was easy and avoided any concern about not being able to lower the action enough. I think the Gotoh ones would have been fine but this ensures there’s no issue there. So was it worth it? I think so. It looks better, I don’t have to worry as much about the saddles pulling to the side, I think the sustain is a little better or at the very least the guitar sounds just fine. I’m happy with it and the Gotoh bridge is certainly a quality product. Recommended.
