Description

Choosing the tone and feel of a traditional string used to mean having to compromise tone life. Not any longer. With ELIXIR Strings the entire string is protected. The coating – whether it be OPTIWEB, NANOWEB or POLYWEB – protects not only the outer string surface, but also the gaps between the windings. As a result, ELIXIR Strings retain their tone longer than any other brand’s coated or uncoated string.

Elixir® Electric Nickel Plated Steel Strings with NANOWEB® Coating deliver the presence, punch, and personality of traditional electric guitar strings but with extended tone life.

Features

  • Only coated string brand to protect the entire string with an ultra-thin coating, keeping gunk out of the gaps between the windings
  • Extended Tone Life – players report their tone lasts longer than any other string, uncoated or coated
  • Consistent performance and tone – ready to play whenever you are
  • Smooth feel that is easy on your fingers and enhances playability
  • Reduced finger squeak – good for both performance and recording
  • Anti-Rust Plated Plain Steel Strings resist tone-deadening corrosion, ensuring a longer life for entire set
  • With less hassle and expense of frequent string changes, spend more time making music
  • Gauges: 010, 013, 017, 026w, 036w, 046w

my favorite strings. They start off sounding a bit less bright than uncoated strings, and stay that way for a very long time. Really good if you play live or record often and don’t want to change your strings every week, but still have a consistent sound.
