Description

CraftNique Concentrated Color Pigments come in 8 basic colors that can be used to tint any of the CraftNique bases.  These 8 highly concentrated colors can be mixed together to create endless color possibilities. Use Dorinda’s Recipe Book for starter color recipes or be creative and make your own, unique colors. These colors can also be used to make acrylic pours by adding only a drop or two into CraftNique thinned Universal White or Grand Finale’ Clear Top Coat.

Each bottle can be used multiple times and can be inter-mixed with other Boutique Colors to make hundreds of DIY color recipes.

Most recipes call for 1 tsp. of concentrate per Pint of Base and there’s roughly 28 teaspoons in each 4 oz. of Color Boutique Concentrated Pigments

Note: These are NOT paints. They are concentrated colorants used to tint paint

Easy to use, and blends well into the paint, but the tint expected is not achieved. Tint is much lower/brighter.

  2. Pierre Burelle (verified owner)

Works well but you need to buy multiple colours to get the desired tint…very expensive

As stated above, works well but they rip you off by selling you a piece of paper which is basically a colour chart that tells you which colours you will need to achieve your desired tint/colour. …$4

Ordered the red and black, both good products, very vibrant easy enough to manipulate, I used them with lacquer thinner with really good results, they also work well as a tint for the crystalac grain filler, very satisfied

These tints are pretty expensive but they do blend into the paint base quite well. In my other review of the paint base from the same manufacturer, if you’re looking for a darker paint finish, you’ll need to use a different approach. Even with the black pigment, you won’t be able to get a dark coat, at least from my experience.

Trying to achieve colours is likely ok, but when trying to achieve darker colours (like a pure black), it’s almost impossible. Never gets dark enough.
