These do seem to make the ‘focus’ of the sound a bit better than stock springs. Make sure to take a knife and scrape the paint away from the points of contact at both ends of at least one of the springs to ensure electrical conductance (assuming you have a bridge that is grounded via a wire to the spring claw). This doesn’t seem as much of an issue on the black springs (where the coating is quite thin) compared to the red (where it’s thicker).
