I bought the GRAPH TECH BLACK TUSQ XL EPIPHONE STYLE SLOTTED NUT to replace the nut that was installed on my Solo SGK-1 guitar kit (SG model). I talked with a Solo rep over the phone and he checked for me before ordering. Since I wanted to make sure this nut would fit this kit, his help was really appreciated. Thanks again, Solo!

So, the nut arrived within a few days (quick delivery as always!) and I installed it. The nut has a nice ring to it compared to the plastic nuts normally found of most guitars. The string spacing was perfect and, of course, I had to sand the base down until I got the proper string height at the first fret. I am very happy with it. This was a wise (and small) investment and I think I am going to order one for my next kit.
