Their rounded profile allows the string to seat properly on the slot bottom avoiding buzzing and rattling.

The thin gauges might come to you a little ‘banana-y’, but holding them straight in the nut slot that’s only 1/8″ or 1/4″ they cut cleaner than any needle file. If you look after them, I’m sure they’ll last a long time, and continue to work great.

I bought a set of these files to work on a nylon and bone nut. Loved them! They are perfect.

I had a set of cheap files and they were a pain to work with… So I decided to spend the money and purchased a good set.
What a difference and a joy! They realy cut fast and clean and produce very smooth grooves. Use very low pressure and check
the string to first fret gap as you go to avoid going to low. I will touch-up all my guitars with these.
I am more than happy with this purchase.
