Quick and easy install without touching a soldering iron. ObsidianWire builds Pro-Wired Electronics for guitar and bass, with super sturdy and easy to use solder-less connectors. That means that you can install your new wiring harness, or do solder-less pickup changes, without having to set aside much more time than a string change.
Each and every Obsidian harness has been designed to give you a greater range of control with more useable dials, and allows you to achieve a greater range of sounds from your guitar with new wiring options and superb clarity. We only use the absolute best parts to build your new wiring harness, and we build them a little differently to make them extremely robust.
The ObsidianWire Custom ‘7 Way’ for Strat® wiring harness adds a ‘Gilmour’ style switch to mix your neck pickup into the bridge switch position, & even allows you to play all three pickup together, for the sweetest bell like Strat® sounds possible.
The ‘7 Way’ set maintains all of your traditional Stratocaster® sounds with a traditional 5-way switch, volume control and two tone controls, but adds an additional switch for adding the neck pickup into the first three positions of the switch when required.
To keep things tidy and allow for the easiest install possible, we added the neck pickup switch to the second control. Just pull it up and the neck pickup will be switched ON. Press it down again and the harness will be returned to a traditional style setup.
To make your tone crystal clear at lower volumes we also include an ObsidianWire Custom Spec Treble Bleed Mod. This prevents tone ‘muddiness’ at low volumes by allowing high frequencies to pass along a separate path to your amp, rather than being stopped short by the increasing resistance at the volume control.

I installed this wiring harness on my Fender Player strat. The additional tones you get by engaging the neck pickup on switch settings 4 and 5 are awesome. IMO the pots are an improvement on the original Fender ones and overall tones seem livelier.
It was super easy to install with no soldering to do.
I definitely recommend this product!!!
