What an awesome project. I’m a beginner with zero experience, and this was the perfect gateway into kits and guitar building. The quality overall was great. The neck and fretting were superb, and the finish on the body looks fantastic. The wood grain shows up nicely through the burst. It took some learning on the job to get the action, intonation, and neck relief right, but it’s a blast. I’m really happy with how the pickups sound out of my Fender Mustang amp. I put 11-48 gauge strings on it, had to adjust the truss rod quite a bit, and raised the bridge pickup. Saddle needed adjustment for intonation, but I got there and I play it everyday.
Customer service at Solo is great, too.
The only two minor complaints: 1) the tuners are really cheap, but that’s an easy enough modification 2) I had to read elsewhere to know what I was doing for a proper tele setup. There’s plenty of stuff out there, so it wasn’t hard to find, but the instructions that come with the kit are very minimal. That said, I will buy from Solo again and again.

Excellent results in my first guitar project, I do acquired the solderless kit and believe me, that was easy and took me less than two hours from the unboxing to the guitar playing, of course without the proper setup, everything was received in correct working order, well packed and organized. Very Happy !
