Hey everybody!!! Grab your kids and wives, pull up your socks and tighten your belts and put on your sneakers…its time again for the annual Elmira Vintage Guitar Show! Sunday June 7 from 11 to 4 pm at the Woolwhich Youth Centre, 24 Snyder Avenue South in beautiful Elmira Ontario. Most of you know this has become an annual event for us here at Solo Guitars … for us it’s an opportunity to make new friends, meet old ones, offer some specials and just have a great 5 hours indulged in our favorite passion … guitars.

We started this tradition some years back as an experiment. We didn’t know if we would be accepted, or whether anyone would have any interest in what we carry, or if we would even sell anything, but we were proven wrong. First of all, it is worth every bit of work to put this display together and see some of our loyal friends and customers away from the confines of our store. This year, we will have the largest display yet! Not only will we have our famous show specials, our also famous giveaway (guess the number of guitar picks in the jar) and a selection of our kits, but we will have even more tools, our new Solo Pro Pickups (which have been very well received), a display of our new guitars as well as a demo station, and our own shining happy mugs to welcome you to the world of Solo. Oh yeah, Don from Oxford will be displaying his finishing products with us as well and will be there to answer questions about any and all of his products….

Did I mention the show specials and the giveaway?

For anyone interested in guitars, this is the best Sunday of the year. Lots of vintage pieces; guitars both electric and acoustic, basses, banjos, steel guitars, amplifiers, pedals, accessories, you name it, plus of course our display which will include either everything we can think of, or everything we can carry. Often times you will discover a lot of surprises, sometimes you might find that one thing you have been looking for; but mostly, it’s great networking and camaraderie. Every time I have gone, I’ve met someone I haven’t seen in years, which made that trip worthwhile. Oh there’s also a food truck if you get a bit hungry.

So mark your calendars for June 7th. Come on down and say hi to the guys who you usually talk to on the phone, check out the new guitars and just have a great day with us…I can pretty much promise you won’t regret it!!
