A worthy successor to the Vintage 10 the G10 Vintage is a 10″ speaker with bags of attitude. Using powerful ceramic magnets and the same voice coil design as the Vintage 30, the G10 packs impressive punch with its 60W power handling.
With the fast response of a 10″ but with the strong and creamy vocal tones of a 12″, the G10 is the ideal choice to add depth to hollow-sounding amps, or for players who want to get humbucker-type girth from single-coils. Can be used singly to add vocal warmth to small valve combos, or in quartets for a weightier but still lively attack.

I built a Vibro Champ style amplifier (head), and I wanted to use a 10″ 8-ohm speaker in a 1×10″ extension cabinet. This is probably not the typical choice for a Vibro Champ, it is a little more sensitive or efficient than a vintage alnico, so even with just the 5 watts, the amp gets very loud. And with 60 watts power handling, it does not have any speaker break-up, so it is very clean sounding. I voiced the EQ similar to the typical BF/SF mid scoop, so it has a nice deep low end and smooth, delicate highs. I constructed the cabinet with a semi-open back which gives the cabinet a full, open, spacious sound. You can tell this is a top quality, professional grade speaker. Every frequency that the guitar produces sounds like it’s under a microscope, precise and articulate, the frequency spectrum graph is exactly what it sounds like.
