This is my second set of these tuning machines. They are smooth and function great. However, the tuning machines themselves are nickel (which is what I wanted) but the threaded bolt and washers are chrome! Very evident in the product photo. It really looks obvious/bad when installed. I’ve had two sets now and the same problem, so it doesn’t seem to be a one off mix-up from the factory. Really bad form for Fender to do this. I removed the chrome plating off the washers & mounting hex bolt as I relic things on a regular basis, but Fender should not be selling this with mixed colours. Really looks dumb mixed with the chrome washers. This is not Solo’s fault and their service and delivery was stellar as usual. Just beware of the colour mix as in the product photo. Fender needs to fix this. Only 3 stars because of the colour mismatch.
