Easy mounting as it says, no need to drill – the UMP works great. The only complaint is that when loosening the thumbwheel the post doesn’t drop so something small and sturdy is needed to push the post down. It only did it on a few of the heads but could also be because they are new. They are very precise at 18:1, if you’re used to smaller ratio tuners these can be a bit finicky to get used to but none-the-less they are an excellent choice.

These tuners rock. I installed the gold ones on my thinline telecaster. Very easy to install and they really hold the tuning well. They are also very precise. I did notice the same anomaly as the previous reviewer where it was noted that the little locking post doesn’t always drop. Not a big deal in my opinion. I will be installing another set on my other telecaster
