Quick and easy install without touching a soldering iron. ObsidianWire builds Pro-Wired Electronics for guitar and bass, with super sturdy and easy to use solder-less connectors. That means that you can install your new wiring harness, or do solder-less pickup changes, without having to set aside much more time than a string change.
Humbuckers and single coils have different characteristics that require different things from a wiring harness to really let out their best qualities.
The Obsidian® Universal for Tele® harness allows you to easily setup your harness to automatically optimize the controls for each switch position, and thus, each of your pickups.
500k Controls for your humbuckers – Clearer, fuller humbucker output. More resistance through your tone and volume controls means less treble escapes.
250k Controls for your single coils – Balanced single coil spank. The harsh highs of a raw single coil are sent to ground, leaving a harmonically rich but balanced single coil sound.
To make your tone crystal clear at lower volumes we also include an Obsidian® Custom Spec Treble Bleed Mod. This prevents tone ‘muddiness’ at low volumes by allowing high frequencies to pass along a separate path to your amp, rather than being stopped short by the increasing resistance at the volume control.
This harness is the perfect match for you if you have Telecaster loaded with the below pickups:
Mode 1. HH Tele® (Humbucker + Humbucker)
Mode 2. HS Tele® (Humbucker Bridge + Single Coil Neck)
Mode 3. SH Tele®(Single Coil Bridge + Humbucker Neck)
Mode 4. SS Tele® (Two Single coils / traditional Tele® mode)

Japanese Fender & Squiers – You will need to purchase a genuine Fender control plate and new 1/4″ knobs
Does NOT Fit the following:
Thinline Telecaster G & L ASAT – May be fitted with adjustments to control slot size & new genuine Fender USA control plate and new 1/4″ knobs
Other Guitars – We cannot guarantee that these will fit any other guitar.
Note: Aftermarket control plates will NOT fit. We recommend a genuine Fender control plate
Use US spec 1/4″ Solid shaft controls. We recommend that you check your knobs are the correct size and replace them if necessary

Super awesome design, perfect for noob like me to start messing with different pick up and other stuffs without needing to pay the store a few hundreds to do it for me every time.
If there is a 0.5 star I would give it a 4.5 The only thing that makes it not 5 star is the turning feel of the pots are not as smooth as fender default and it is split shaft, but that doesn’t do anything to the tone, (tone is great) so its all good.
In general I really like it!
