The Solo Deluxe Electric Guitar Bag combines the ease of a gig bag with similar characteristics of a hardshell case. Made from 300D grade industrial nylon, it features 15mm of high density padding with 5mm PE board for that semi-hardshell protection. In addition, it features two adjustable padded hide-away shoulder straps, one headstock pocket, riveted heavy-duty padded carrying handle, large front pockets & Solo branded zippers.

I purchased this bag for my Solo SGK-1. Standard shipping was fast and packaging was good. The case is well made. Padding is thick and there are plenty pockets for carrying all the extras . . . sheet music, extra cables, strap, capo picks, etc. The backpack straps are comfortable. The carry handle is even well padded. I also like the adjustable guitar neck rest inside the case. I liked this bag so much I ordered another one to replace the gig bag for my old electric guitar. I highly recommend this gig bag.

It is an EXCELLENT gigbag for the money. I have sworn off of hardcases in recent years, preferring either semi-solid (fabric over foam) cases, or plain padded gigbags. (In a SKB 1SKB-44RW clamshell case in the event of air travel). So I have lots of gigbags now, and this one is 100% worth buying. You can pay hundreds more, but this one does the trick nicely.

I’ve bought four of these cases. They really are the perfect compromise: They have a semi firm construction that maintains a solid shape and gives great protection; they have a moveable neck block so making them good for both tilt back and straight pegheads; and they are less than half the price of the really high end gig bags.

I was very impressed with quality of this gig bag. It’s shocking to me that you can spend $2000 and get a guitar with a gig bag that does not even come close the quality of this gig bag. The construction of the gig bag makes sense and it’s well made. I will be shopping at Solo for future gig bags!

This is an excellent gig bag and very compact and light weight compared to similar products.
I was very pleased to be able to buy from a Canadian company and have the shipping managed so conveniently.
These are the features I like best
– tidy velcro system stowaway straps without a flap hanging down when using the straps
– separate water bottle pocket on outside
– roomy outside pockets for cables, strings etc
– moveable neck support to fit different guitars
– really nice carry handle
– sturdy construction
– quality zippers with pull grips
– inside shielding on the inside lid for protection against head stock string ends and bridge where my Floyd Rose set up ripped up my last bag
Options could be added
– inside storage bag that could attach to the neck velcro for clip on tuners, slide, extra picks and other small items that get lost/damaged in the big pockets.
– An ID tag somewhere to identify owner
I am really enjoying my new gig bag and will try to make these suggested extras myself. I just think you could do a better job than I can. If you make these extra items I will buy them.
I would advise anyone who is shopping for a gig bag to buy the Solo. I purchased the most expensive model, but there are price/feature options offered that will still give you a good bag at a lower price. For me, the Deluxe options were well worth the money.
