If you’ve played a guitar with a traditional style guitar bridge, you might have come across the dreaded feeling of saddle height screws digging into the palm of your hand.  This for a lot of players has led to either damaging the screws by cutting them or dealing with a less than ideal string height just to avoid the discomfort.

M3 size are commonly found in most made in Mexico Fender guitars, non US models as well as some Ibanez, and Gotoh bridges.
