Everybody knows (or ought to know), that CTS pots are pretty well the best available. CTS pots have been the de facto standard in most higher end (USA and Japanese) guitars since 50 years or longer – and for good reason! CTS pots tend to always be the most reliable, durable, and trouble-free. Bourns pots are very highly regarded too, but I personally tend to stick with CTS. Many of my guitars have their original CTS pots still in them, and the pots continue to work perfectly. Every 12 – 18 months I might need to give them a shot of Deoxit D5, but that’s no biggie.

I luv, luv, luv these METRIC CTS pots for replacing the typical sub-par pots that come factory-installed in most import guitars. It’s nice n’ convenient to replace pots without having to muss n’ fuss with reaming pickguard holes to accommodate (larger) USA imperial-sized pots. Reaming out holes isn’t a big deal on a plastic Strat pickguard, but it does require the correct tool and skill to do so on an Epiphone Sheraton, an Epiphone Casino, or an Epiphone Les Paul (or similar import guitars). With these CTS jobbies, you get the same great “full-sized” CTS pot quality, but in metric. For years, if you needed to replace a metric sized pot, you would either have to enlarge the existing holes in your guitar, or you’d have to stick with cheaper Alpha pots, or some other no-name piece of junk. Thank God, that is no longer the case – these metric sized CTS pots are a God send.

Thanks very much, SOLO, for keeping these in stock!

Fits the tone and volume holes on a Gretsch G2220. Work just fine.

Smooth like butter, great upgrade over stock pots in an import instrument.
