Pickup Height Cushions with springs are an even better alternative to springs when installing pickups. Made of a dense foam rubber, these cushions simply mount to the pickup cavity with the self-adhesive backing. The internal springs will help prevent the cushions from compressing over time which can happen with cushions without springs.

Very happy with this cost effective upgrade to the rubber foam I was using. Provides more hight and consistent pressure. Using under bridge pickup on a PJ bass. I like a lot of action, and allowed me to raise the bridge pickup without lowering the neck pickup for proper volume balance between the two. Keeps the neck pickup snarling when I want it to like a proper P should be able to do.
