The Solo Pro Shielded 4 Conductor wire is for more complex guitar wiring such as splitting coils, in-phase/out-of-phase, series or parallel etc.
The four separate wires are insulated and then surrounded by a wire shield that is soldered to ground to reduce hum.

Hi,
Very good cable, but there was a mistake in the packaging. The label on the bag did read 4 conductors and shield cable
but the cable had 3 conductors only, black re and white plus the shield. I will use it to connect the volume pots to the
3 way toggle switches.
I still give it 5 stars for quality.
