This Solo guitar body is intended as a replacement or DIY project. Body specifications may have a +/- 1 or 2mm variance. If using this body with a non Solo neck / Solo hardware, slight modifications may be necessary in order to achieve a proper fit.

Body was in very good condition. Had to expand the middle pickup cavity and bridge cavity a little for everything to fit and line up. Not a problem with a Dremel since the basswood is quite soft. Very easy to sand by hand. Grain is okay but I elected to seal it and go with a high gloss enamel finish to cover the grain. Predrilled for the ground lead to the bridge and the output jack leads but I expanded the hole to the output jack because it was a little too tight pulling the leads through. The neck I bought was a snug fit in the neck pocket but the neck screws are not predrilled.

Not my first Solo Body but the least expensive. I have to concur with a previous review (djlevy54) and found the same things had to be done to this body except that output jack leads went through okay. I did have to open the pickup cavity quite a bit to use the humbucker size P90s I had and because I was using hard tail bridge I created a plug for the trem hole. Great body for a project guitar. I used a Solo short scale strat neck and it fit perfectly in the slot. I’ve been playing it a few days now, another SOLO project done!!
