If you aren’t sure about what hardware is needed to build an electric guitar, this is the pack to buy. Everything you need is here at a very inexpensive price. I used this pack to build my grandson’s guitar and it it came out just as I hoped. Solo also has the wiring schematic to help with the wiring. And, if desired later on, you can swap out any pickups, etc. to enhance the quality. Although, just as is, this sounds fine.

Pretty good looking, sound great. But the screws are absolute garbage. I broke 6 in a row on the pickguard even if I was very carefull. I would’nt be mad to pay ten dollars more for this kit with decent set of screws

Great, stable sound that works well with pedals, too. FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Spoiler: I swapped out the pickups upon purchase.
My first build was this guitar. My only subs were Solo brand locking tuners. I also installed just one of the string trees (B,E) and kept the other for spare. The reason for omitting the second string tree was the Solo tuners are staggered and didn’t see the need to as it stays in tune, even when a lot of bending happens. Otherwise I’m rocking this T-style in kit form, which has an ash body and maple/maple neck with satin finish and rolled fretboard.Supposedly, the neck was lightly roasted. It takes adjustments easily. I sanded quite a bit before using some stain from a furniture project. Looks okay with the one-piece black pick guard. Oh yeah, I think I paid extra and got the “entry-level” AlNiCo5 pickups. Long story short, I was at about to give this kit a 4.5 for the novice to intermediate builder or someone with woodworking experience who happens to want to play guitar.
CRITICISMS: for some reason I can’t find my purchase history on the website. Please restore this function. I hope that I have the original sales slip somewhere… Also, I tried to recreate my build to store it in my Wish List. Because there were no kits available I did the custom build. Problem is – if the item is out of stock, you can’t continue with the build and there are NO T-style, 22-fret necks in stock (for USA customers, anyway).
POSITIVES: Fantastic customer service. I am a recovering drummer and wanted to build a kit guitar. My TS is unbound, including no binding on the neck. I had a few questions about the wiring. After two very quick emails I was soldered up and playing. Kudos for the customer service team who allowed me to email them photos on the fly with extremely quick response. It was like having someone on the phone or sitting next to you. I will buy again!

Nowhere in the description did it say the pickups and pickguard are not standard. These seem to be built for their own prerouted guitar bodies. I built my own and after trying to install, had to modiffy cavities and pickguard location to accommodate the hardware. Ended up having to steal the bridge pickup from my other tele as the one that came sat too high. Also bought a separate pickguard because the included one put pressure on the bridge pickup leaving it slanted.
Maybe its on me for not doing enough research into this pack, but i feel like it should be stated in the description.
