Nice violin for the money but there are a couple of things that would improve the product. I would rather finish the body of the violin before assembling the neck. It will be a challenge to finish the body under the fretboard properly with the neck glued in place. Also, the rosin supplied is not great. I also would have preferred an ebony fretboard as opposed to the maple but maple was the only option offered. Other than that, I am still happy with my purchase. The case and now supplied with the violin are great.

This Violin is my fourth kit from Solo, the first three being a Fender style Tele, PB, and Stat. I am very please with
The Violin arrived safely and all the parts were there, and the case is first rate quality. Everything seems well assembled although there are a few glue spots at the ribs which I can easily fix. However the tip of the bow was broken. I have scraped and am using shellac varnish for finishing and will eventually add colour using acrylic craft paints/stains.
I’m looking forward to completing this project but not rushing it and waiting for warmer weather to be able to do it outside. Thanks Solo, for the great products and helpful customer support.
