Description
This is a 4-Way Tele prewired assembly for Telecaster style guitars featuring 2 single coil pickups. It will drop into most American Fender Teles with no modification. Wired with 22 AWG vintage push-back wire for that vintage look and sound. Soldered connections to the input jack are insulated with heat-shrink to ensure durability and long life.
If you are installing this on an import guitar with metric sized pots you may need to ream your control plate holes to accept the slightly larger US-Spec pots and buy US-Spec knobs.

This unit worked great with my Tele project. I installed with Bulldog Vintage pickups wound to humbuck when both are switched and they sound great through the Emerson control unit. I ordered knows and control plate separately and had to Rema them slightly per tje instructions, also had to attach a new ground wire to the neck pickup cover, but the instructions were pretty helpful. My only request is that maybe a larger sheet with 64 year-old compatible font would have been a nice touch. You can fold that sheet, you know.

Yep, these are kind of pricey but they’re worth it and pay it back in tone, presence, and quality. The only thing about this kit is that I had to relocate the capacitor in order to install a mini toggle between the volume and tone pots for coil splitting a Seymour Duncan Little ’59 Bridge pickup which, in that tight Telecaster body cavity didn’t leave me any extra room so I had to make some extra room underneath the control plate. Not too difficult but if Emerson made it a bit more “out of the way” it would help.
