Simply remove your old guard, solder the output jack and ground wires, screw in the new guard and you’re ready to rock with pure Fender sound.
Characterized by their midrange chirp, crystalline highs and tight bass, Fender Texas Special™ Strat pickups feature an overwound single-coil construction that produces big Texas-blues tone.

Since my wiring skills and soldering skills have deteriorated over the years, I decided to go with a pre-wired pickguard when I decided to upgrade to Texas Special pickups. This drop in set was quick and easy to install with only two wires to the output jack and one to the bridge ground to attach. The sound was extremely pleasing. Pricy, but I think it was worth it.
