There’s no denying the allure of a roasted maple neck. Resistant to humidity shifts and featuring a gorgeous, dark look, they have more sustain and add a unique note to the instrument’s voice.

This genuine Fender Stratocaster neck is crafted at our Ensenada, Mexico manufacturing facility. Featuring a “60’s C” neck profile and 9.5″-radius maple fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets, for modern playing feel. The synthetic bone nut is pre-slotted with “pilot” grooves for accurate spacing when filing the final string slots. Decent neck, the roasted maple sure stands out with gold hardware as I paired it with Hipshot locking tuners and Solo 5mm string trees. Modern tuners do work on these necks – need to drill out the holes, it’s maple so the wood responds well to a slightly bigger bit. I am a little disappointed with the fretting around 10-12 on A, D & G strings. Perhaps it’s my playing but no matter how much I setup I do, I am still getting a small buzz through my amp. Maybe I need to take it for a professional setup but I’ve never had this much trouble with a Fender neck. However, I would buy another for a Telecaster build. Because in the end the Roasted Maple Necks are maybe a little overpriced because it’s Fender and you’re paying for the logo on the headstock but do they ever look great. Worth it.
