Hardware unit works great, as long as tripleplay software is running, otherwise tracking is lousy as a straight in midi source. Worst problem was software installation complicated and confusing. The supplied USB key contained outdated programs, all fishman software had to be downloaded and reinstalled. Then once installed, I was slapped in the head when most if not all of the synths, notation software, vsts from Kontakt were discontinued and timed out from demo mode. Its like buying a good turntable with no records. But there are some good free vsts available, neopiano is one and sounds and tracks great. The other problem is mediocre support from fishman. In order to record inside a DAW, the tripleplay plugin must be installed. Inside cakewalk no dice but worked in ableton.
Finally resolved the cakewalk plugin issue by changing the number of available voices in plugin properties.now works great, sounds great, tracks great. But no thanks to fishman. Now all I have to do is come up with $800 US to get the full Kontakt… (yeah right…). None of the negative stuff applies to Solo, good service, good price. Would buy again.
