The ABR-1 Tune-o-matic bridge was the brainchild of legendary Gibson president Ted McCarty in 1954, setting a standard for simplicity and functionality that has never been bettered. The ABR-1 is slotted directly into the body of the guitar using a separate stud and thumbwheel, providing a firm seating for the strings and allowing players the ability to adjust and fine tune intonation and string height in a matter of minutes.
It also yields a great union between the strings and body, which results in excellent vintage tone and sustain. This OEM part is available in either Chrome, Nickel, or Gold finish.

Hello there, just recently bought this Gibson ABR1 chrome bridge for my 1975 Gibson ES335 which I have been having trouble intonating and playing true down the neck . I noticed that my bridge had collapsed in the center and no longer followed the arch of the fret board. Got this new Gibson bridge and it fit perfectly and looked the same as my old one. This bridge sits on the thumb wheels on two threaded rods that screw directly into the body, no bushings in body. Perfect arch on this new bridge to match fret board and when I set the intonation, the guitar played like it did 45 years ago ! Guitar plays perfectly right down the neck ! Guitar plays so well I can’t put it down. I would recommend this bridge for any body who wants to keep their guitar original with authentic Gibson gear that works well at a good price ! I also have a gibson les paul that needs a new bridge, and I will be buying that from Solo too, great company to deal with !
