Quality tool. Hardened steel. Does what you want it to do.

Great tool. Has got me through three refrets so far with no signs of wear.

great tool for fret removal. It’s smaller in size, the clamp part is thinner and has a sharper angle than the Disco Stew one

Tried out a bunch of fret pullers by different manufacturers – including the “Disco Stew” version. I want the FRET OUT and the WOOD IN. This one is far superior – I just did 4 guitars and a bass over the last week – mix of rosewood and maple fingerboards. This Hosco fret puller proved to be the best – by far. Just remember to score the frets beforehand and heat them up with ye old soldering iron.
(Is it me or does Hosco know what’s what? – Every time I have upgraded to Hosco tools the job is cleaner and faster – no man I don’t work for these cats – but you know what they say about Japanese precision…)

Another great tool to add to my luthier chest. I pride myself on great fret work but there is the odd occasion I must reset a fret.
These are very well made. The plier teeth are perfectly sharp to get nicely under a bad fret. Minimal to no tearout.

Let me start by thanking Solo for an amazing inventory of wicked tools.
This one in particular is made by Hosco in Japan and trust me when I say this, they make some of the tools in the world.
