That means that you can install your new wiring harness, or do solder-less pickup changes, without having to set aside much more time than a string change.
A pop in upgrade for your stock J bass® wiring harness which goes further for improved play-ability, and sound.
ObsidianWire Pro-Wired Electronics use high spec, professional grade components which are an absolute upgrade over your stock Fender® wiring harness.
To make your tone crystal clear at lower volumes we also include an ObsidianWire Custom Spec Treble Bleed Mod. This prevents tone ‘muddiness’ at low volumes by allowing high frequencies to pass along a separate path to your amp, rather than being stopped short by the increasing resistance at the volume control.

Worth every penny. The hum/buzz I was getting from the SD baseline at the bridge is gone. I’m impressed with the sound quality and how incredibly easy it is to install. If you’re hymning and hawing about installing one of these, stop and buy it. Especially if you’re like me and can’t solder for 💩.

I installed this on a Suhr era 1995 Jazz bass deluxe with the active electronics. With the active circuit it was hard to dial in this instrument, especially live. This passive circuit TRANSFORMED this instrument! Beautifully articulate. Very flexible tonally. Excellent build quality. I have ordered another one to retrofit my ‘70’s P-bass. I highly recommend this!
