After trying Alpha and Bourns pots, I think these might be the best. I was pleasantly surprised when I realised they include lock washers, too.

I purchased these to replace the linear taper pots in my Gibson Les Paul Special with audio taper pots for a much smoother increase in volume. I initially bought these short shaft pots but they were too short to make it through the holes in the mahogany body. So I purchased the long shaft. Now the shafts were too long and protruded about 5/8″ above the body. No big deal as I just reduced this anomaly by placing a nut half way up the shaft for the perfect height above the body. CTS pots are great and so is Solo’s service. I’m writing this for players who have a Gibson Les Paul Special that doesn’t have the larger pick guard, which I think the short shaft pots are probably suited for. So, for those that have the LP Special with the small pick guard that doesn’t extend down to the control knobs this information might help in your selection if you want to switch pots.
