Description

This specially designed guitar tool is used to check your bass guitar’s neck straightness of the fretboard and not just the frets.  This is the only guitar repair tool to ensure neck flatness before leveling your frets.  One side is for 33 ¼” scale for standard Rickenbacker basses (4001-4003 and more), the other side is a standard straight edge machined flat with no fret notches.

This notched edge is CNC precision machined for a flatness of +/- .001″ and can be used with 18, or 20 fret necks.  Notched to the 19th fret with clearance for more frets and clearance for the nut on the other end.

It seems to be exceedingly difficult to get any Guitar Tech to understand that a Rickenbacker 4003 neck is designed to be arrow straight. Correctly set up there is zero bow. Anyway, this little tool allows me to set my Rickenbacker neck absolutely straight. I have bad eyesight so, until this came along, I was not able to set up the neck myself. I have difficulty with depth perception and can’t eyeball my neck to see if it needs adjusting. If you own a Rickenbacker 4003 and are not afraid of adjusting the truss rods yourself, this is the tool you need. Takes all the guesswork out of it. Thank you Solo !!
