Bought one on a whim to put in my E-II Horizon 3, which has seen a LOT of pickups go through it.
Description is spot on – bright in the right areas, tight and punchy. Sounds great with whatever I throw at it for gain. Low output pickups are really the ticket even if you play with a lot of gain – just having control of the amount of compression in your signal chain makes such a difference. Cleans up well, I use a treble bleed circuit on a 270k pot. 5/5 for the price, even if it was $140 to compete with name brands. Might even grab the matching neck.
Not 4 conductor so no splits, but splits are lame just get p90s you coward.
