Description

WD® Music Products developed this high-quality potentiometer with CTS® to offer you exceptional performance in electronics for your instrument. These are NOT the same CTS pots that other companies stock and sell. These are developed using 9% +/- tolerances and a value at 10% over the standard 500K rating (550K). This ensures you not only optimum performance but guarantees your potentiometers will always be at least the value stated unlike many others using 20% tolerances where you can be over spec but in most cases way under the specifications you need to ensure good tone from your pickups. We added brass components and a high quality wiper versus what comes standard on most run of the mill pots to ensure long life, quality and consistent performance.

As advertised; the difference was immediately noticeable: very smooth, very clean.

Really nice pots for my les Paul build. Only had one issue that one terminal was cracked and loose on delivery but solo stepped right up and sent me a new one with zero hassle.

Extremely smooth action I think we’ll worth the money

Absolutely worth every penny of the few bucks more to address specific eq problems. I have an A6 Beneditto jazz pickup in the neck which is dark with a lot of mids as it should be, but after I added a master tone and tbx master tone the overall resistance increased and things got wonkly. The bridge pickup was fixed using a 1 meg tone pot with a .068 capacitor but I was having trouble getting back the top end in the neck pickup. This 550k pot was exactly as advertised, guaranteed to have at least a 500k punch and rated at 550k +/- 10% could be as high as 600k. Wherever it lies in there, it totally fixed the problem of muddy mids and disappearing highs with a great consistant sweep on the tone. This unexpected drastic turnaround is probably partly due to the previous standard 500k pot being at the low end of the tolerance spectrum at about 20% below 500k where it should have been. If you want to be sure you are getting at least 500k value with a good consistant tone sweep an extra $5 bucks expense is nothing considering the benefits!
