Graph Tech’s calibrated & synchronized tuning system makes tuning and re-tuning your bass faster and more intuitive. Tuning on the fly has never been easier! Each string position has its own calibrated gear ratio, so every string feels and reacts the same to any tuning adjustment.
One full rotation of any key results in a one full tone pitch change (give or take). From Low E to G, the gear ratio’s are 48:1, 36:1, 25:1, and 23:1.
In order to achieve the higher gear ratio’s, Ratio’s are the worlds first machine heads using a double envelope gear design with a hardened steel gear. Amazingly smooth and super strong.
The PRB-4401-G0 is a set of Ratio Machine Heads for an electric bass that uses four in line tuners. It has a classic clover shaped button and is finished in chrome.

Best bass tuners you can get. Full stop. Plus they’re gold, so… they look insane with a gold bridge and optima gold strings 😉
Other than drilling 16 holes, which only took a minute once it was all taped and centre punched, install was quite fast. Awful getting the stock bushings out though on fender basses… due to the glue they apply for no logical reason.
Don’t cheap out on your bridge with these. 😉
