A lovely piece of swamp ash. The neck pocket was slightly under the 2.5″ at the base, as confirmed with calipers. This was an easy fix. The alignment of neck pocket to bridge was not exactly perfect but using a bridge with multiple grooves allowed me to maintain proper string spacing.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with this P bass body. I used grain sealer and coats of polycrylic. The wood is very light in colour. I wish I had used a slight tint instead of the totally clear finish that I achieved. I recommend this bass body.
