Nice body done to Fender specs as far as measurements go. The reason it doesn’t get five stars is because of the weight and a small pinhole in a dark spot on the back. The body I got, ordered online, was five pounds. The site claims about four and a half pounds, so and ounce or two in either direction would be acceptable, not half a pound. It’s supposed to be Swamp Ash, that should mean lightweight, this is noticeably heavy in the hand, that’s one of the reasons why I weighed it.
The grain pattern is nice on the front and back, not so much on the ends. The three pieces just don’t look as good as a well matched two piece body looks, unfortunately this is the only option for an unroasted, body. I’m doing a “69 Thinline in a natural finish, so this was the one. For the money, there shouldn’t be any defects like the pinhole and dark spot, basically a small knot. This body probably should have been a second.
