   I just purchased the Solo Pro TC 3 tone metallic and have written Solo and got a nice message back from Scott Fleming… It’s Flawless ! I’ve been playing since 1964… you heard it right… I’m a old guy now but still practice about 4-5 hours a day…I had a record deal with Feet Of Clay from Milwaukee on Megalithic RED/ Sony and management in London, not CA, and Plymouth MA that handled Squeeze and Robyn Hitchcock…
   The guitar…

   I love the neck! Finish great, no rough frets, great action and it sounds very R&R.. I’ve a 68’ Gold Top, CS356. The neck is somewhere in the middle of those… I also have a Fender Nashville B Bender and a 76’ Fender telecaster custom… The back side of the neck is lightly finished like my Fender B Bender… It feels really really good…I like the nut, it doesn’t bind and I bend like crazy…I was impressed with the seams between the neck and body… I’ve never seen anything so perfect…when you get my age you use, or I do anyway, light gauge strings, so I re strung it straight away… it can take 9’s with zero issues although I raised the saddles a bit…I told Solo I wished they would provide longer screw saddles however the intonation was spot on…the entire check off from Solo was very good…I have only done that three times …bought without playing the particular guitar…with the CS Gibson 356, the Fender Nashville B Bender and also I forgot the Squire classic vibe 60’s….All were good BTW ….the strings are at a good spot on the neck so it won’t “crown off”… that drives me nuts to see some cheaper guitars messing that up…I’m a real “bender” and it’s staying in tune well…I’m still quite aggressive when need be with my playing…

   I have not yet cranked it up yet, just low volumes with an old Vox Semi tube amp 50 watt thing that’s a modeler and the only one left from old the olden days …Marshall’s and AC 30’s…it also sounds good via a Jam Buddy 2… I did have a new Fender Telecaster in 1969 when I was a kid for a spell and although I loved it , it did feed back at times so I turned round the amp…I do not know if this one does this… the sound sort of reminds me of a cross between my old Gold Top and the 356 and the B Bender…
   Sounds crazy but that whet I hear….

   I will say the guitar is a bit on the heavy side… it seems to be as heavy as my B Bender, or close to it…Oh, I failed to mention really like the Squire classic vibe 60’s double bound Telecaster and this Solo telecaster will end up the same way I bet….
   It’s a heavy guitar, perhaps the same as the Solo and Bender there may be a bit more twang in the Squire… not sure, but I’ll love the sound of this Solo…and the slab of rosewood is much thicker than I expected on the Solo…
   I can. I can not get over the neck…it’s really nice!

   For me, as I love more inexpensive guitars I adore this guitar!
   And I feel it may be in competition with these classic vibe Telecasters?
   Particularly the one I have… I can play the Solo easier than the Squire on frets 1-4 , and feel I can be fluent of the Solo in a few months…
   At my age, 71… it takes an hour to warm up but so far the Solo won’t trash my hands out …

   Perhaps Solo is trying to break into this marker with a lower price but do not let that fool you…I feel you cannot go wrong buying this guitar…If the rest of them are built this way they would be
   “In Like Flint”…for those around my age who know this expression.

   I almost feel guilty paying so little for this guitar. The awesome sparkle finish is the show stopper but what I wasn’t expecting is how good the neck on this guitar is. Comparable in quality to the neck on my PRS Satin Vela and that guitar sells for 2 grand more than this Solo. The machine heads and other hardware are top quality too. Sonically you can get rich clear sound whether playing clean tones or high gain tones. If that wasn’t enough you get a well constructed gig bag with the guitar. I think you would have to search long and hard to find another guitar that offers this much bang for the buck.

   I can’t be more delighted with this guitar purchase. It’s not only the ridiculously low price for such a quality product but the attention to detail comes through in every aspect from the frets to the remarkable finish. It plays beautifully, the rosewood fret board being smooth and easy in the hand. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound in all three switch positions and the functioning of the tone and volume controls and three way pick up switch. I am especially grateful that this was from a Canadian company. I would readily recommend this guitar to anyone and have already done so to many of my my musician friends. Solo can be very proud of such high quality for such an affordable price.

   I bought the Solo Pro TC Style electric guitar, with the sunburst metallic finish, and I must say I am pleasantly surprised by the quality and playability of this guitar. The fit and finish are excellent and the construction quality and setup accuracy seem to be first rate. I am surprised that Solo can deliver such a good quality instrument at such a low price point. They even offered free shipping when I was expecting to face an import tariff.
   I wanted to buy a Fender Telecaster, but they have so many editions and price points its too hard to decide which one to get. Then there are lots of Telecaster copies from other companies, some are cheap knockoffs but of are high quality and even custom built rigs played by famous artists.
   I’m not sure what other guitars would be a fair comparison to the Solo TC Pro, but it certainly doesn’t feel or sound like a cheap knockoff.
   My only regret is I wish I could have chosen a different finish. I love the sunburst but I would have preferred a regular sunburst finish without the metal flake. But Solo doesn’t offer that choice.
   Overall, I’m really happy with the Pro TC Style guitar. Its high quality at a very fair price.
