When you think about traditional fret leveling, you probably think about taking the strings and possibly the neck off your guitar first, then proceed with using a leveling beam. While this method works, you don’t know if your frets will be level under string tension.

The Solo Pro Understring Fret Leveler solves this problem by allowing you to level the frets with the strings still on the guitar and to the exact tension of the neck.  This corrects all the imperfections that your neck may have such as twists, humps or high & low spots. Designed to be used with adhesive back sandpaper, our leveler can also be used with the strings off the guitar like a traditional leveler.

Available in 3 lengths:

SL-USL-4.5 – 4.5″ length is perfect for spot leveling.
SL-USL-9 – 9″ length can be used on smaller necks as well as spot leveling and full scale necks.
SL-USL-18 – 18″ length is designed for full scale necks but can also be used for spot leveling.

Included with every Understring Fret Leveler is a set of our String Lifters. Just loosen the strings and slide the appropriate size string lifter in front of the nut to raise the strings.  Tune your guitar up to pitch, confirm straightness, and start leveling.

Kovax Adhesive Back Sandpaper Rolls can be purchased here.  They can be trimmed to fit the width of the leveler.
