This was a super fun ride! First the bass was/is amazing! Arrived quick, sounded better than I expected. Me and my son used this one to experiment on. He wanted to see what it took to make a fretless out of a fretted bass so we ripped the frets out and filled the holes with veneers. Sounds awesome.
This would be 5-star except for two issues. The wiring harness and pickups were not what the wiring diagram said they should be. And one of the holes for the potentiometers was too close to the wall of the cavity and required some routing out of material. The pickups were 2 wire, the diagram had 5 wire. Not a big deal is the same thing just annoying. I sat and drew out the wiring harness and it wasn’t what was in the diagram. Some of the issue was location of grounds which is whatever but of you don’t know better will confuse you. Complicating matters is that there is really no other 5 knob system out there to be able to grab a diagram from someplace else.
All in all I’ll be getting another one. It was fun and the down sides weren’t terrible just bumps that needed navigating.

Beautiful bass, no doubt. Main issues: very thin top (I can’t sand too much or I go through), and no instructions on building, or wiring the electronics.
I am fine building the body and neck, but the electronics, less confident. The volumes and pots are already wired together, which is witch I don’t know, where do they go, I don’t know and where do I solder the pickups I don’t know…
