The wood parts were nicely done, neck fit well and the frets were level. The tuning machines were poor quality, threads not cut properly so I had to chase them to secure them.
Pickups were rubbish, E and A strings were about 3 times as loud with pickup angled as much as i could. About 1mm clearance on the G string, and 4mm on the E.
Pots pretty raspy as well..
Other than that, finished up nicely. I’ll be installing SD pickups and pots shortly.

Overal, this is a good kit. Body and neck fit well. I can’t speak to the electronics as I’m upgrading with an EMG active pickup system. Body and neck in great shape as expected.
The only thing I don’t like about this bass is that the tuning keys are at the bottom of the headstock instead of the top which puts the low E string key in the farthest position away and tuning is awkward. Solo should really change this. It makes the bass look awkward. I thought I was doing something wrong in assembly so I contacted Solo and was told this is how the kit is designed. Might be good to have a pic on the sales page. I wouldn’t have purchased the kit if I’d realized it. Again, it’s a good kit and easy to work with. The tuner situation is just odd.
