First off let me say I didn’t mean to order the reverse headstock. This was an experiment on cost effectiveness so right off the bat I was behind because of the extra cost of the reverse neck. I have 4 Solo Parts guitars. I usually buy the body and the neck I want separately and install my preferred pickups.
OKAY! Now for this kit. Everything was very well packaged as usual. It’s very easy to assemble and the neck fit the pocket well, although not as snug as what I’m used to. The neck was very good, very little work needed on the fret ends, just light sanding to remove edges. The body did require a little more work, sanding etc. before painting. I was surprised at the pickups, they sound pretty good at this price range. Overall it was a good experience and very good kit to start with. Personally I will go back to ordering body and neck separately as I find I’m not fond of the 25.5″ scale length, due to shoulder and hand problems. I used a short scale length neck(24.75″) I had in stock(so to speak) with this kit. I also swear by the Solo Locking tuners which I use on all my builds. Will jam with the guitar this week. All I can say is you end up with a better guitar than you can buy for this price!

I bought & recieved on my b-day feb 15th a b-stock version of this with a blem on the front of the body behind the tremolo hole.
Based on it being a blem I had the tools to deal with it. I basically just gave most of the body & neck a light sand then applied Saman white wash water wood dye as the basis for the rest of the finish to do on it.
Will this when done give you a Squier Affinity Strat …. no. BUT .. what this will give you baring no issues with the stuff you get is a mostly playable guitar. Even if you only buy this for the body & neck .. its a solid buy for doing a custom finish, learning to do a setup/assembly & customizing of hardware & electronics on. Lastly, the pickups are lacking, bridge & tuners is low end and funtional …. but should be considered to be replaced if your looking to make this a long term & playable instrument for the future.
Would recommend this kit based on what I said there. It was fun & once I finished the body n neck, it took me just over a hour to assemble & setup into a playable state. ( your time may vary depending on your tools & experience working on instruments. )
