The Fender Sunburst was originally unveiled in 1954 with the introduction of the Stratocaster.
Transparent Yellow was used as the base color, and a dark brown tint, Dark Salem, was used as the edge.
By 1958, the addition of a Transparent Red was added as a middle/third color in the transition, giving the Sunburst a much more dynamic look.

- When spraying Bursts with aerosols, we recommend gently heating the cans in a bucket or sink of warm water for 10 minutes
- Conical Tips should be used when spraying the perimeter colors
- Should be clear coated prior to wet sanding and polish

Application guidelines: Mix well prior to use. Contents may settle over time, stirring will remedy. Lacquers may be reduced with Lacquer Thinner between 20-40% if desired. Spray at room temperature 68° to 78°F (20° to 26°C). Relative Humidity should be lower than 60% to avoid blushing/cloudiness. Spray in a well-ventilated area with a proper respirator.
