Well made, precisely flat on both sides, and it’s the perfect weight for letting the tool do the work. You can even use it to “true” other tools.

I bought self-adhesive 1″ sand paper to use with this leveling beam and it worked very well for my first time leveling the frets on a Squier Telecaster. The ends are beveled so they won’t hit a high fret. The ends aren’t finished as nicely as the working surfaces and at first it looked like one side wasn’t flat, but it was an illusion created by the beveling on the ends. I checked it with a straight edge and it is flat on both working surfaces. The weight of the steel is enough that you don’t need to apply any pressure, which by helps you to sand evenly.

Awesome! I leveled a fingerboard and I also leveled frets after installing new ones. It ended up PERFECT!

It’s about time someone started selling quality tools for fair prices!!

A nice solid and true tool. It was better quality than I expected for this price. Edges are smooth. It’s certainly the last one I’ll ever need to buy.

It’s okay for the money. One side appears to be perfectly flat, the other was out by a few thou. So one side is completely unacceptable but the other is good.

Excellent weight, length…does the job perfectly….at a very good cost

  8. benbedecki (verified owner)

It’s perfect. Heavy enough to do a good even levelling job, perfectly flat on all sides. Just a handy thing to have around.

This thing is a beast. Right out of the box I was surprised how heavy it is, which is a good thing. I puts down a lot of even force without having to push, you can concentrate on the leveling. It also has a little bit of bevel at the ends, which is smart. If you bump it up against something you shouldn’t be bumping, the bevel will sort of ride off it instead of a corner catching and doing some damage. Very nice piece of equipment and I’m very happy with the purchase!

Just got this leveler in and put it to use. It worked like a dream. With its natural weight it takes very little effort to get those frets even.
