Description

There’s no denying the allure of a roasted maple neck. Resistant to humidity shifts and featuring a gorgeous, dark look, they have more sustain and add a unique note to the instrument’s voice.

This genuine Fender Telecaster neck is crafted at our Ensenada, Mexico manufacturing facility. Featuring a comfortable “Flat Oval”-shaped profile and 12″-radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets, this neck was designed for pure speed. The synthetic bone nut is pre-slotted with “pilot” grooves for accurate spacing when filing the final string slots. The perfect way to give your Tele® authentic Fender feel, this replacement neck even sports our famous “spaghetti” logo on the headstock.

Very good looking neck , frets came nicely polished from the factory
The neck is really thin but it has a very nice oval shape that still manages to feel big in your hand because of the large shoulders

Really glad I waited for this neck to be in stock rather than compromising. The fretwork is the best I’ve seen on a Mexican Fender product (my main guitar is an mim Mustang that I absolutely love, so I have nothing against mim stuff I’ve just worked on enough of them to know that they usually need the fret ends tamed and a good polishing at the minimum). The frets are beautifully crowned and polished on this neck with no sharp ends and I dont expect to have to deal with much, if any, sprout in the future due to the stability of roasted maple.

I havent installed it yet as im waiting for a custom body from Warmoth, but I can already tell that the profile is reminiscent of a nice charvel neck, which is exactly what I was hoping for – flattens out a bit at the back for a thin comfortable feel with the thumb anchored in the middle of the neck, but enough shoulder to still feel comfy for cowboy chords and bends with the thumb hanging over the fingerboard.

I used a straight edge to check for warping and the neck seems absolutely perfect. Cant make much further evaluation until its installed, but I dont expect to encounter any issues based on my initial evaluation.
