Features
- Originally seen as a custom color offered by Fender in the 50’s
- Like other metallic’s, this should be sprayed over a White Primer base coat and then Clear Coated to create the depth and effect expected with this finish
- On vintage instruments this finish was originally a transparent red lacquer sprayed over a gold or silver base coat. This can be achieved by spraying our Heritage Cherry Red over top of Goldtop.

Could have been better if I would have tossed the spray nozzles that came with it and used one from a different brand in the first place. The nozzles spit paint no matter how you spray. Had to repaint many times before I diagnosed the problem. The red will turn too dark on the 3rd coat and the spitting made it unbearable to keep it on. After working with Oxford and Solo to sort this problem out, everything worked out. The color is good and the paint seems to be good quality. The spits were unforgivable.

What a fantastic color. May have done one too many coats but still am happy with the results!
