Grain filler is used for filling open grain on woods such as Ash and Mahogany. Using a coloured grain filler allows you to control how the figuring is shown.

I used this grain filler on a mahogany Strat body I purchased also from Solo. The results are great. After the filler/stain I used a few coats of wipe on satin poly. Worked really well and looks great.

This did a great job on the Solo acoustic parlor kit that I purchased. I watched Brad Angove’s video on YouTube (for the same kit) and pretty much followed what he did. I bought the smallest container which was “just” enough to grain fill the body and neck. I thin kit looks pretty god for a first time builder.
