The LPK-90 is a really neat kit. A bit more involved than the Tele models as it has a set neck as opposed to a bolt on, so pre-fitting and measuring prior to gluing to ensure alignment with the bridge is crucial. The fit for the most part was good. There was some slight shimming to do but nothing that should discourage someone attempting a kit like this. The overall quality of the neck and body was excellent. The fretting only required minor polishing. There were some hardware issues, but nothing worth mentioning as Matt from Solo was all over it. This kit comes with P90 style pickups that really put out. I did find that the pups wouldn’t sit parallel to the strings so I ended up tossing the mounting springs and putting a piece of foam under them. Problem solved. It would be a big plus if Solo eliminated the sealer that they put on the bodies and necks. It is understandable why they do it, but it is a bit of a pain. If you’re looking for a good quality build, this kit rocks.

    Nice DIY-Kit-Guitar..

The neck is nicely done, big as a baseball-bat.

We did not use the electric part.. instead we used a dimarzio Virtual P90

The Kit-Guitar is good.. but I paid a skilled man for the job..

I do like the guitar.. good sustain.
