Easy assembly. Simple “plug-n-play” solderless wiring is a great idea for those who have little to no experience in soldering. However, I had experienced a loud hum upon touching the strings, neck and bridge pickups, but it stopped when I touched the jack plate. Upon closer inspection of the wiring, I noticed that the ground wires leading to the jack had been attached opposite of what they should have been. For this reason I gave 4 stars. Once I corrected the issue, it played the way it should. Overall sound is great! If you are wanting a Telecaster styled guitar, I recommend this one.

The kit was quite good but had a few minor problems. There were small defects in the wood of the body and that had to be sanded out. The body developed a small crack that I had to fill. Nothing serious. One of the wire connectors broke, but I repaired it with a new clip. The wires are very thin gauge and can be easily dislodged from the clip. Otherwise the electronic are very nice and work perfectly. The quick-connectors will be handy for any pick-up modifications later on. The neck had one fret that buzzed and needed to be leveled and reshaped. I did an OK job with this myself. Aside from that, the neck is very good quality. All in, a Cheap and Cheerful ‘Tele.
