I was surprised by the quality of the kit. The neck was straight and only the fret ends needed a bit of filing. Everything was there and nothing was damaged. Matt was very helpful with the few questions I had. I have to say that the nut was a bit too high and needed some filing. Where I live you will not find a used tele thinline for what I paid. So I encourage anybody who want to buy a Solo kit. I’m thinking of buying another one eventually.

Great guitar kit! I got my guitar kit and had it finished in about a week. Everything went together great and the neck was straight and also the bridge lined up perfectly with the neck. I have to say this was my first guitar build, but I can see myself doing another in the future and I’ll be buying them here at Solo Music!

Guitar sounds terrific, I’m really glad I bought from Solo Music Guear. No problem with shipping or with the assembly of the guitar. I’m really excited to buy other one.

Killer kit. The Wilkinson bridge is a definite plus. Picked it up in store and the shop is amazing!!! Canada’s stewmac! Everything fit together perfectly and it plays great. Just waiting on warmer weather to spray the finish.

I am very pleased with the quality of the kit for the money. Everything went together easily, and fit and finish is good, especially considering the cost. In the end, I dont think you save much over buying a Squire Affinity, but there is the satisfaction of having “built” your own guitar.
The only complaints are that the nut was excessively high, and is cheap plastic, but a replacement bone nut is a cheap investment.

Great quality kit! It plays like a dream and the customer service is amazing. The neck pickup I received was not working and I called and they immediately ordered a new one for me free or charge. I have bought 3 kits from Solo and am planning on buying more!

Great quality kit so far (for the price), assembled the whole guitar, looks amazing in the paint I’ve chosen. On the minus side, the neck required a lot of fret work (a lot!) but bear in mind that this is a cheap kit, expected. Haven’t tested out the pickups, upgraded straight to branded pickups and that required quite a bit of work on pickguard and bridge as the new pickups don’t fit straight out of the box. Would 100% recommend
